This inexpensive drone has professional features that make it a great product.
Below is an actual picture of my Ranger Drone from EXO.
Mine does not have the optional obstacle avoidance module. However, I do have experience with flying both real aircraft and drones and am diligent enough to avoid obstacles. If you are new to the hobby I do think the obstacle avoidance module will be worth your while. Click the picture below to see more info on the EXO website.

Yes, this is NOT a mini drone and is over the 249 gram cutoff weight for small/mini drones. Therefore it does need to be registered. Better safe than sorry, right? And the cost to register with the FAA is only $5 for three years.
Interesting – what is the camera like in terms of sharpness and image size?
It is a 12MP sensor but the sharpness and clarity is nowhere near the 12MP in my iPhone. It is also not nearly as good as the 12MP in my DJI Mini SE. I bought this to “try out” the EXO brand, which is a re-badged Hubsan (I believe). Both EXO and DJI drones are made in China but the EXO company in based here in the USA and customer service response is on the ball. I am impressed with the way the drone handles and, with it being larger than the DJI Mini, it is much easier for me to see. I also like the fact that I can control it 100% from my iPhone (an old 6+ that I dedicated to this drone). I am still learning all that it can do and it will be a tough choice when I decide to upgrade to a higher-quality camera – because EXO just released new products that seriously compete with DJI offerings. But either way, I am having fun with both my EXO Ranger Plus and my DJI Mini SE.
